The Porsche 964 is regarded as one of the most beloved generations within the iconic 911 range. Combining classic air-cooled Porsche DNA with more modern driving characteristics, the 964 has become an extremely popular base for high-end backdating projects. This example was professionally transformed into the legendary 1973 2.8 RSR look, inspired by one of the most iconic racing Porsches ever built.

The conversion of this car was carried out by MCG Propulsion, one of the most renowned Porsche restomod and performance specialists in France. The complete transformation is extensively documented with photos and invoices, further supporting the quality and history of the car.

Under the rear lid sits the original 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine, recently rebuilt and given a mild performance upgrade. Output is now approximately 300 hp, which, combined with the lightweight construction, manual gearbox and sporty exhaust system, results in an exceptionally intense and pure driving experience. The sports exhaust also delivers an impressive air-cooled Porsche soundtrack that perfectly matches the aggressive RSR character of the car.

Visually, this Porsche stands out thanks to its classic RSR appearance with widened wheel arches, sporting details and timeless silver colour scheme. The combination of classic styling with modern 964 engineering makes this backdated Porsche particularly attractive for enthusiasts looking for a no-compromise driver’s car with style, performance and exclusivity.
